We are currently executing an ongoing structural window opening and masonry reinforcement project at a commercial property in Norwood, Massachusetts. This work supports a broader building upgrade and is being completed while maintaining safety, sequencing, and structural continuity across the façade.
Commercial and industrial buildings across Norfolk County and Greater Boston often require structural modifications when repurposing space, upgrading fenestration, or preparing for tenant improvements. These changes are not cosmetic. Improperly executed window opening modifications can lead to structural movement, masonry cracking, and long-term water infiltration.
This project includes controlled brick removal, temporary structural support, reinforced concrete and masonry installation, and precision detailing at window openings. Each opening is addressed in phases to ensure the building remains stable throughout construction.

Reinforcing steel is mechanically anchored into existing masonry and structural elements to reestablish proper load paths. New masonry and concrete infill work is then installed to meet structural requirements and long-term durability expectations. Weather protection systems are in place throughout the process to protect interior spaces and maintain building operations.

From a commercial standpoint, this type of work demands experience, coordination, and risk management. Structural window modifications directly impact building performance, liability, and future maintenance costs. Our approach prioritizes durability, constructability, and compliance with project requirements.

Concrete Solutions and Waterproofing specializes in commercial masonry restoration, structural concrete work, and building envelope modifications for business owners, developers, and property managers in Norwood, Dedham, Canton, Walpole, Needham, and throughout Greater Boston.
This project remains active, with additional structural and masonry phases scheduled as the building upgrade progresses.
